Hyannis, NE – United Way of Western Nebraska is pleased to announce a new partnership with Food Bank for the Heartland expanding mobile food pantries in their service area. The pantry in Grant County will be a drive-thru mobile food pantry on Wednesday, March 25th at 4:00 p.m. at the Calvary Episcopal Church, located at 302 E. Hwy 2 in Hyannis.
This free event is open to the public and provides food for families in need, with one distribution per household. The Mobile Pantry Program delivers fresh and shelf-stable food directly to communities with a high need but limited food resources. These one-day, drive-through distributions are free to attend. Community packs include various shelf-stable items. Along with community packs, other items distributed can include assorted produce, bread, and dairy products.
A brief intake form will be completed for each household receiving food.
If you are unable to attend, a proxy form is available to allow a family member or friend to pick up food on your behalf. Forms can be downloaded in advance at uwwn.org/united-food-network
To request a proxy form by email or mail, please contact the United Way office at 308-635-2522.
Please remain in your vehicle during food delivery.
